IT inclusion and education

Since their very beginning, Octavio Café has committed to care for social, cultural and environmental contexts. It is also important to mention that Octavio Café does not take simple charity work for social responsibility. We aim to commit to ethics and life quality of citizens in general.

Based on that, Octavio Café has an environmental educational center in the farm headquarters, where we manage programs for environmental awareness. These programs aim to educate children and adults, and helps children stay in schools. This educational center has a library and computers available for children and adults.

Environmental Care

We priviledge natural culture resources from planting to harvesting. Coffee crops help in erosion control, due to the fact that coffee is a perennial plant. The soil is not touched after harvest therefore trees maintain their physical structure which also helps in the ecological management of plagues and diseases. This keeps coffee healthy and productive all the time.

We contribute to soil preserving and flora and fauna maintenance. Due to the ecological management of plagues, water streams preserving, organic compounds and ecological fertilization systems we can produce healthy coffee. Our company’s environmental management program is precisely based on that. Approximately, six million square meters are destined to preservation and species maintenance. This is Octavio’s Café commitment with the future.
